President and CEO — Tim Coleman
Tim is the Owner and Founder of Stratus Consulting Group, a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business that provides recruitment, EFI, Power, Engineering, Six Sigma and project management solutions to EFI, Aerospace and Defense, Security, Mining and Metals, GSA and Government Agencies.
Tim is a former United States Marine Corps Infantry Officer that served in The First Marine Division, with deployments to Central America, Southwest Asia and Southeast Asia. He spent 13 years in the Commercial Sector as a Plant Manager, General Manager and a Multi Location Director both in the The United States and Canada. His Lean Sigma Training and Leadership enabled his plants to be recognized as The Plant of the Year out of 100, three consecutive years.
Tim is passionate about Veterans helping Veterans and is a Committee Member of the ESGR, a Marine For Life advocate, member of the DAV, First Marine Division Association. He is active in Youth Sports and supports multiple ministries in Central New York.
Tim is a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, NY with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science.
Vice President of Strategic Planning — Marty Merkler
Martin J. Merkler joins Stratus Consulting Group as the Vice President of Strategy, providing over 30 years of experience in global Civilian (BellSouth & AT&T) and Signal Intelligence Officer with The United States Marine Corps, Telecommunications, Procurement, Strategic Planning, and Project Management.
Marty is an accomplished professional in strategic planning, procurement, and project management of emerging technologies and services. Marty has been involved in successfully deploying innovative solutions to support marketing and revenue enhancement initiatives. Prior to joining Stratus, Marty concluded a 30 year career as Director of Strategic Sourcing for AT&T, that included roles in Network Operations, Project Management, Strategic Planning, and Global Strategic Sourcing.
Marty also participated as the Procurement Lead in 3 different purchasing consortiums that included major telecommunications operators. In addition to emerging technology systems, Marty had responsibilities that included the procurement of Engineering and Professional Services.
Marty has earned a Lifetime Certification as a Certified Procurement Professional C.P.M. as well as an MA in Communications from Seton Hall University, and an MSC in Project Management from The George Washington University. Marty has also done Post Graduate work at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, in Project Management.
In addition, Marty is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chopin Society.
Vice President of Quality and Process Engineering — Margaret Ulanowska
Margaret joins Stratus as the Vice President of Quality and Process Engineering, where she brings her extensive international background in Project Management, Contract Management, Six Sigma and Quality Systems.
She has been the COO of organizations that provide process mapping, statistical analysis, account management and leadership to great companies such as Royal Philips Electronics N.V., Alcatel-Lucent - Qingdao China, Mexico and Telecom.
Her Sigma Experience includes her leading Master Black Belts and developing strategic solutions for high tech objectives.
Margaret is fluent in multiple languages and holds a BS Architecture from Georgia Tech and a Master's Degree in International Business Administration from Georgia State. Margaret is PMP certified and a Six Sigma Black Belt.
